Bourbon & Blonde Roast, meet Bri Galloway. And this is how my blog was reborn…
December 29th, 2016-
Craig and I were packing our suitcases the night before our New Years trip to NYC when I hit him with the news.
“Hey hun, I know why I haven’t been feeling well lately…I’m pregnant!”
Pregnant. I still can’t believe we are pregnant. CG and I are so excited to announce we are expecting our first child this September 4th. Oh—and if you didn’t know, September 4th is also Labor Day—how fitting!
So how has my world changed since I found out I was pregnant? Well for one thing, I stopped eating lunch meat. It’s amazing how you crave something when you’re told you can’t have it. Like soft cheese, caffeine, deli salads and alcohol. I mean honestly, can I just get a giant bowl of deli salad topped with brie cheese and an Irish coffee to drink. Okay, so that sounds disgusting all together, but separately, I’m craving them all.
Aside from all the things I can’t do, my body has changed quite a bit as well. As I’ve left behind the yucky-ness of my first trimester and gained back some of my energy, I am trying to improve my diet and get back into the gym. I want to be a healthy and fit mother and I know it starts a healthy and fit pregnancy.
So I felt it was only fitting, that as my life was making a change, my blog would too. I would never say I am leaving behind B&BR, because, let’s be honest, mama will still need her cocktails, but I am excited to be entering a new chapter in my life and I wanted the same for my blog.
So thank you so much for sticking with me during this transition. I am excited to share this new journey with you all!
